McCurtain County fire causes evacuations

A wildfire in McCurtain County Oklahoma caused several people to evacuate their homes.

The fire raged on Monday night along Joe Hough Road before firefighters managed to contain it.  McCurtain Memorial Hospital took in many of the evacuees.  Dry conditions in the area have led to burn bans, however this fire marks the second in two days.  This second fire is burning several acres owned by Weyerhauser Timberlands that were planted for paper and pulpwood production.
