MCSO: Man arrested on gun, drug charges

The Miller County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a man for possession of firearms by certain persons.

According to the MCSO, deputies served a search warrant at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at a residence on Old Post Road. An arrest warrant was served on the occupant, identified as Kevin Young, for the firearm charge.

When authorities searched the residence, a rifle and several types of ammunition were found. An investigator also found marijuana, methamphetamine, and various drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Young was additionally charged with possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Miller County Jail.
