Texarkana, Arkansas Police are investigating after an elderly woman was found dead Monday evening near a local hotel. Officers responded to a 911 call around 6:16 p.m. on May 12 and discovered the body in a wooded area near the Boutique Hotel on North State Line Avenue. The woman has been identified as an elderly white female. Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play or criminal activity. However, since the death was unattended, her body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
