A Texarkana man accused of assaulting a Central Mall employee had his GPS monitor removed during a pretrial hearing Monday.
Daniel Lynn Thomas, 40, appeared before Judge John Tidwell at the Bi-State Justice Center, where the judge approved the removal at the request of Thomas’ attorney.
Thomas was arrested in January by Texarkana, Texas police for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. He was released the same day on $150,000 bond.
His next pretrial hearing is set for August 11, with a trial scheduled for August 26.
