Executive Director Cindy Marsh said the organization is working with state and national hospice groups to support stronger oversight and accountability within the industry. Hospice of Texarkana recently joined advocacy efforts calling for tougher protections against fraud before the Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee.
Hospice of Texarkana has served the region for more than 40 years and currently holds a 5-star Medicare rating, the highest available. Incoming Executive Director Greg Wood said fraudulent hospice practices harm vulnerable patients and damage trust in the entire healthcare system.
