A routine traffic stop turned into a two-hour standoff Monday night in Texarkana, Texas.

Police say officers spotted 40-year-old Kelvin Jones driving on West 14th Street and knew he had several felony warrants. When they attempted to stop him, Jones drove to his home on Pine Street, ran inside, and barricaded the door with a refrigerator and a sofa.

Because Jones was considered armed and dangerous, the SWAT Team and negotiators were called in. After about two hours, he surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody.

Police say methamphetamine and marijuana were found inside Jones' SUV. He was booked into the Bi-State Jail on drug charges, parole and probation violations, evading arrest, and several outstanding warrants.
