The annual Mardi Gras celebration will take place on Saturday in downtown Texarkana.
Downtown Texarkana will come alive Saturday, February 7, 2026, as Mardi Gras 2026 brings a full day of music, food and parade fun to the city.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. at Front Street Plaza, with food vendors, drinks and local shopping open throughout the day. Live bands and DJs will perform on two rotating stages until 8 p.m.
The Mardi Gras Parade is the highlight of the event. Floats will line up at 2 p.m. and roll through Broad Street at 3 p.m., featuring beads, music and colorful displays.
Organizers say this year’s celebration will be bigger than ever, with more contests, more activities and classic New Orleans-style flair. The event is open to the public and offers a NOLA-inspired Mardi Gras experience in the heart of Texarkana.
