An Oklahoma family struck it big during a weekend visit to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro.
On Saturday, September 13, Raynae Madison discovered a 2.79-carat chocolate brown diamond while digging with her family near Prospector Trailhead. Park staff confirmed the rare find, describing it as the third-largest diamond registered at the park this year.
Madison named the gem the William Diamond in honor of her nephew’s birthday, which the family was celebrating. So far in 2025, more than 400 diamonds have been registered at the world-famous park.
