Texarkana, Arkansas police say a man accused of robbing the Family Dollar on East 9th Street earlier this week is now behind bars—after returning to the same store days later.
Officers say 22-year-old Makahi Martin was spotted at the Family Dollar on Saturday. When police arrived, he took off running but was caught nearby at an apartment complex with 30-year-old Samantha Keegan.
SWAT officers searched the apartment and found a handgun and clothing matching the earlier robbery. Martin faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery, fleeing, and possession of a firearm by certain persons. Keegan was also arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and gun charge.
Police say they remain committed to cracking down on violent crime in the community.
