Texarkana Arkansas Police are warning about a new scam targeting Microsoft Teams users.
Texarkana Arkansas Police are warning about a new scam targeting Microsoft Teams users. Scammers pose as “IT Support” or “Help Desk” and claim there’s an urgent computer problem.
They may even use a check mark emoji to look official. Once connected, they try to trick victims into downloading software that lets them steal passwords, install malware, or access company networks.
Police say to never trust unexpected calls, avoid downloading software from unknown sources, and never give screen-sharing access to someone you can’t verify.
