The Texarkana Arkansas School District is celebrating a new campus expansion at Fairview Academy of Humanities and Innovation.
The new multi-purpose building is funded through the district’s second lien bond, which generated $6 million for construction projects across the district. The addition will replace several portable buildings that have been in use on the Fairview campus since 1994.
The facility will serve about 250 students in kindergarten through fifth grade and will include classrooms for art, music, P.E., science, a self-contained classroom, and a gym. District officials say the building will feature updated safety and technology improvements.
The project is expected to be completed and ready for students by spring 2027.
