A Texarkana man is in jail, accused of assaulting a 9-year-old girl during an argument last year. Police say 28-year-old Terence Ledale Pierce allegedly shoved the child in the face after she tried to intervene during a fight between Pierce and her mother at an apartment on Kennedy Lane. The push caused the girl to fall and injure her lip.
Investigators say the child later disclosed the assault in an interview at the Children’s Advocacy Center. Pierce was arrested November 29 and also faces a motion to revoke his probation from a 2022 assault on a peace officer. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
