Texarkana Arkansas Police are searching for a suspect after a high-speed chase Saturday night. Officers were already in the area of East 35th and County Avenue responding to reports of gunfire when they spotted a vehicle linked to a recent shooting.
When officers tried to stop the car, the driver took off, leading police on a chase that ended in a crash on Jefferson Avenue. The suspects fled on foot and weren’t caught at the scene.
Investigators later identified the driver as Gary Nichols. He’s now wanted on a felony warrant for fleeing with risk of serious injury or death.
Police say they remain committed to cracking down on violent crime through proactive enforcement and ongoing investigations.
