A traffic stop on Highway 67 turned into a major drug bust Thursday when Bowie County deputies found 126 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle. Deputy David McAlexander pulled over the car after smelling marijuana, and the driver handed over two joints. A search revealed vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana in the trunk, along with $2,100 in cash. Two men, Ramon Martinez-Munguia and Marc Arteaga-Carrion, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 50 pounds. Their bonds were set at $100,000 each. The investigation is ongoing.
