The Texarkana Texas Police Department says two women have been arrested and three others are wanted after a year-long fraud investigation involving a local payday loan business.

Forty-eight-year-old Trina Porter and 43-year-old LaShay Washington are charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Investigators say the women used forged documents and personal information from people they knew to create fraudulent loans while working at the business.
Police say the scheme lasted about 12 months and resulted in more than $150,000 in losses, impacting 199 victims. Porter has bonded out on $150,000 bond, while Washington remains in the Bi-State Jail.
