Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating two separate shootings over the weekend that left both victims in critical condition.
Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating two separate shootings over the weekend that left both victims in critical condition.
The first shooting happened around 11:15 Saturday night at an apartment in the 300 block of Robison Place. Police say a 61-year-old man was shot multiple times after opening his door to two men. The suspects stole a small safe and fled. The victim was taken to CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital. That case remains under investigation.
The second shooting occurred Sunday morning around 8:30 in the 3000 block of Lester Street. Officers found a 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police performed CPR until EMS arrived. He was also taken to St. Michael Hospital. The victim’s father, 65-year-old Calvin Young, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
