Texarkana Water Utilities is advising motorists of an upcoming lane closure due to water main repair work.

According to TWU, crews will begin repairs on a damaged water main to improve system reliability in the area. The eastbound lane of College Drive between Summerhill Road and Lincoln Street will be closed starting Saturday, May 30.

Officials say drivers should expect temporary traffic disruptions during construction and are encouraged to use caution, follow posted traffic control signs, and consider alternate routes when possible.

The project is expected to be completed by midweek, weather permitting.
