The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Secondary Career & Technical Education Center is offering free college credit classes to eligible high school students entering 11th or 12th grade next school year.
Students from participating high schools can enroll in career-focused classes at the UAHT Hope or Texarkana campuses. The program allows students to earn college credit at no cost while gaining hands-on experience in fields like welding, information technology, medical professions, and more.
To apply, students should make an appointment with their high school counselor. Applications are open until all seats are filled, so early registration is encouraged.
Participating Schools – Hope Campus:
Arkansas Virtual Academy, Blevins, Hope, Lafayette County, Nevada, Prescott, Spring Hill
Participating Schools – Texarkana Campus:
Arkansas Virtual Academy, Arkansas High, Ashdown, Fouke, Genoa Central, Premier High School
Programs offered include Construction Technology, Electromechanical Technology, HVAC, Medical Professions, Information Technology, and Welding.
