Even with many organizations fighting hunger, some families in the community still need help.
Even with many organizations fighting hunger, some families in the community still need help. One Wake Village family is taking a personal approach.
Caitlyn Trim and her family have set up “Trim’s Little Free Pantry” in their front yard to help neighbors with extra groceries. The project has become a family effort, with the Trim children helping stock and maintain the pantry.
The family says the community response has been overwhelming, with steady donations and neighbors stopping by for assistance.
The pantry is open day and night on Loma Linda Street off Redwater Road in Wake Village. Those who want to donate can contact Caitlyn Trim on Facebook.
