A traffic stop in Texarkana led to an arrest after a driver allegedly gave police false information during a stop on St. Michael Drive.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, an officer stopped a driver for going 63 miles per hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone. Police say the woman claimed she did not have her driver’s license and provided a false name, date of birth, and said she had a Tennessee driver’s license.
Officers discovered the identity she provided belonged to someone with outstanding warrants. Police say the woman then gave her real name and was arrested for Failure to Identify. She also received a speeding citation.
