Community Water Forum Tonight in Texarkana

— The City, Texarkana Water Utilities (TWU), and Riverbend Water Resources invite residents to attend a Community Water Forum: Let’s Talk Water, an open-house style event designed to provide helpful information and answer questions related to water services, recent billing concerns, and long-term infrastructure investments.

The City, Texarkana Water Utilities (TWU), and Riverbend Water Resources invite residents to attend a Community Water Forum: Let’s Talk Water, an open-house style event designed to provide helpful information and answer questions related to water services, recent billing concerns, and long-term infrastructure investments.

 

This event will be held Monday, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Southwest Center. No formal presentation is planned, so residents are encouraged to stop by at any time during the two-hour window.

 

The Community Water Forum will allow attendees to speak directly with City staff, Riverbend, and TWU staff, receive one-on-one assistance, and learn more about the projects and programs shaping Texarkana’s water future.

 

Forum topics will include:

 

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program – How new meters improve accuracy, water loss, and customer access to usage data

 

TWU System Improvements & Upcoming Projects - Learn more about overall TWU systems and upcoming water and sewer projects.

 

Water Service Line Inventory – TWU is conducting inventory of materials used in all customers' water service lines within the utility’s distribution system.

TWU Help Desk – Individualized account assistance with TWU Customer Service representatives

 

Riverbend Regional Water Infrastructure Program – Overview of the regional water treatment project and its long-term benefits

 

Residents with questions about their water bill, recent meter upgrades, or the Riverbend Regional Water Infrastructure Program are encouraged to attend.
